Do you struggle with allowing yourself to receive pleasure? How to make your body feel like yours again after having kids? How to connect intimately with your husband again without it feeling like another thing on your to-do list?
In today's episode, I interview Jannine Mackinnon, Pleasure Alchemist and Sacred Sex coach.
The interview focuses on the importance of pleasure as self-care for working mothers. Jannine explains how pleasure is a powerful tool for stress reduction and nervous system regulation, emphasizing that self-care should be integrated into daily routines rather than added as another task.
We delve into the challenges women face in accessing pleasure and intimacy, especially when overwhelmed by daily responsibilities, and highlighted the need to shift from a sympathetic (stress) to a parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system state to be open to desire.
Jannine advocates for sensory rituals and regular non-sexual touch to foster connection and reduce the pressure often associated with intimacy, such as the 'ticking clock' many women feel regarding sexual frequency. She recommends addressing these pressures openly with partners and suggested practices like weekly self-pleasure rituals to expand one's capacity for pleasure and presence. The conversation also covers the impact of early sexual experiences and societal conditioning on adult intimacy.
Actionable advice includes integrating pleasure into daily life, prioritizing self-connection, and communicating openly with partners to create safety and deepen intimacy.

Are you struggling in your relationship? Are you looking for more ways to connect emotionally with your partner but not sure where to start? Are there any other tools besides couples therapy to support couples?
In this episode, I interview Julia and Uni, co-founders of The Conscious Partnership Circle.
What you'll learn:
- To us, conscious partnership is the practice of bringing awareness to our relationship.
- It’s becoming aware of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, patterns, nervous systems, and the stories we’re telling ourselves so that, instead of reacting unconsciously, we can learn to respond with presence and love.
- Like a spiral, we return to familiar challenges in our relationship—not to repeat them, but to meet them with deeper awareness, greater compassion, and new possibilities.”
Our Mission: To cultivate a heart-centered community where romantic partners practice conscious relationships through embodiment, vulnerable communication, shared wisdom, and authentic connection.
Vision: We envision a world where conscious partnership is accessible, practiced in community, and woven into everyday life. Through recurring gatherings, workshops, immersions, and mentorship, we help couples cultivate compassion, intimacy, authenticity, and repair—then carry those practices back into their families, friendships, and local communities. Our hope is to inspire a growing network of Conscious Partnership Circles where people continue practicing and sharing this work together.
Who it’s for: all types of romantic partnerships, whether Queer, monogamous, non-monogamous, poly, married, dating, or engaged.

In this conversation, Luciana sits down with Sara of Midnight Blossom Tantra to explore desire, sexuality, Tantra and embodied awareness particularly as they relate to working mothers. Sara reframes desire not as selfish, but as a vital source of motivation, fulfillment, and growth—one that can strengthen our relationship with ourselves and enrich our connections with others, especially in intimate relationships.
Together, they discuss realistic ways busy women can bring greater presence and intention into daily life through small rituals, mindful pauses, meditation, and self-care. Sara also clears up common misconceptions about Tantra, describing it as a holistic path that brings every part of life into deeper awareness—not a practice limited to any one aspect of human experience.
Sara shares her personal journey into Tantra as well as the intentional and highly individualized approach she brings to client sessions at Midnight Blossom Tantra, and the practices she may draw upon, including meditation, bodywork, and ritual. Luciana and Sara also reflect on relationships, marriage, their collaborative women’s circle Rising Shakti.

Surprised to hear the words BDSM and parenting in the same sentence? What skills can we learn from tantra and kink to make us better parents?
In this episode, Luciana interviews Aviva, a mother, pleasure coach and trauma-informed facilitator. Aviva shares her journey of integrating lessons from tantra and kink—such as containment, holding space, attunement, energy management, consent, negotiation, and aftercare—into her parenting style. She emphasizes the importance of being the 'captain of the ship' in the household, moving beyond performative parenting to authentic leadership and connection with children. The discussion explored how pleasure and play, when understood broadly (not just sexually), can be transformative for both parents and children, fostering deeper connection, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

Featuring Dr. Jihane Farrell, Funcional Health Coach, and an expert in healthy habits for women over 40, this episode focuses on evidence-based strategies to support weight management, overall health, and libido, particularly during perimenopause and menopause.
Jihane emphasizes that sexual health is a reflection of overall health, and that restrictive dieting or excessive calorie cutting can harm libido by putting the body into survival mode and disrupting hormone production.
The conversation also addresses the impact of stress and the need for women to prioritize self-care and relaxation to support sexual desire.
Jihane encourages women to focus on building strength and health rather than just losing weight, and getting proper support, including hormone replacement therapy, when needed.
